To make a booking, please contact us first to check availability and make a provisional booking. To confirm the booking, please print out and complete the booking form by clicking here and send it by mail to the address given on the form with your cheque for the one third deposit (or full amount if paying within 8 weeks of your holiday).

Please note that we do not accept pets at the house.

The terms and conditions applicable to all bookings and our Data Policy are as follows:

BOOKING CONDITIONS

1.  RESERVATIONS

Reservations will only be accepted by us on receipt of a properly completed booking form and a deposit of one-third of the total payable in respect of the booking as shown on the booking form.

2.  PAYMENT OF BALANCE

i.  The date on which the balance is payable will be set out in the deposit acknowledgement letter but, in any event, must be paid to us not later than 8 weeks before the holiday is due to commence ("the due date").

ii.  The deposit will be accepted in part payment of the total payable in respect of the booking and credited to the account of the client. If the balance of the total payable is not paid in full by the due date, we shall be entitled to cancel the booking without notice to the client and without incurring any liability to the client in respect of any loss or damage following such cancellation. The cancellation will be deemed to have been made by the client and the provisions of Clause 3 shall apply in such case.

3.  CANCELLATION

i.  In the event of cancellation of the booking by the client the total payable in respect of the holiday will remain due. If we are able to re-let the accommodation for the relevant period (or any part thereof) we will refund to the client 75% of any amount we receive in respect of the re-letting.

ii.  Whilst all bookings are accepted in good faith, in the extremely unlikely event of any occurrence making it necessary for us to cancel the booking, our liability shall be limited to the immediate return in full of all monies paid.

4.  GENERAL

i.  The client undertakes to keep the property and all furniture, fittings and effects at the property in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the letting (reasonable wear and tear accepted) and to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.

ii.  The property will be available for occupation by the client and members of his party solely for the purpose of a holiday.  In no circumstances may the period booked be exceeded and the total number of persons shall not exceed the number stated on the booking form, unless written permission has been given by us.

iii.  In the event of our being unable to reserve the accommodation requested the deposit will be returned in full. We reserve the right to refuse to accept bookings without giving any reason.

iv.  The right of entry to the property at all reasonable times is reserved by us with or without workmen for the purpose of inspection or to carry out any cleaning, repair or maintenance we deem necessary to the property or equipment.

v.  The tenancy commences at 4:30 pm on the first day and ends at 10:30 am on the last day of the letting.

5.  BREAKAGES AND DAMAGE

The price for the holiday does not include breakages or damage to the property and in cases where this occurs the client will be responsible for reporting the same to us and paying for the cost of repair or replacement or replacing any item broken or damaged with a similar item.

6.  SERVICES

The provision of services at the property (including any broadband connection) is not guaranteed by us to the extent that we are dependent upon the service provider for the continuance of the relevant service. Our liability is limited to any interruption to the service which may result from any failure on our part to pay for such services or any failure of the equipment required for the supply of the service which belongs to us and not the service provider. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the service provider restores any service which it has interrupted as soon as is reasonably possible.

7.  ANIMALS

Pets and other animals are not accepted at the property.


DATA POLICY

1.1 We retain data give to us by our clients on the completed booking form when booking holidays with us. We also retain clients’ e-mail addresses. As people contact us with a view to returning to our house for holidays many years after an initial booking, we retain such data for 10 years from the date of the last booking.

1.2 We retain data provided to us when any potential client contacts us with a view to making a booking in order to be able to contact that client in connection with that booking. In the event that a booking does not take place, then the information provided will be destroyed within one year of its receipt.

2. We do not provide any such data received to any third party except:

i. in connection with arrangements needed to enable the client to take up occupation at the house being let or to contact the client in the event that something has been left behind on vacation of the house, in which event we may provide an e-mail address or telephone number to our caretaker;

ii. where a work-person needs to contact the client in order to arrange to call at the house to carry out work there during the time of their stay;

iii. In the course of any legal proceedings in connection with a letting and in connection with the keeping of accounts and accounting to the relevant tax authorities or as otherwise required by law.

3. We may use the data we have to advertise availability of the house directly to a client whose data we hold where the client has given consent for the use of the data in that way.  Withdrawal of permission for such use shall come into effect upon our receiving in writing (whether by post or e-mail) such a request from the client.

4. In the event that a client wishes us to update the information held about him or her, then we will do so as soon as reasonably possible upon receiving a written request (whether by post or e-mail) to that effect giving the updated information.

5. The rights of the client with regard to processing of personal data will be observed by us and in particular it is confirmed the client will have:
  • a right of access to a copy of the information comprised in their personal data;
  • a right to object to processing that is likely to cause or is causing damage or distress;
  • a right to prevent processing for direct marketing;
  • a right to object to decisions being taken by automated means;
  • a right to have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked, erased or destroyed; and
  • a right to claim compensation for damages caused by a breach of the relevant Act.
6. The client confirms that he has received permission to pass on to us any other person’s personal data he or she supplies to us in connection with a booking made with us.
